Older People's Group

In partnership with established community groups in the area, the Trust is working with older people enabling them to make the most of the 'third age'. One such group organizes an 'affordable night out' every Saturday evening (with music and dance) and provides an opportunity to socialize and raise some much needed funds for local charities. Meals-on-Wheels and Community Visitation services continue - despite being under threat due to government cut-backs.

174 Trust was delighted to be visited by Ms Kamala Lakhdhir-US Consul General in NI to celeberate the recent $30000 award by the American Ireland Fund and showcase the cross community young footballers project that Trust had been involved in.
