Disability Clubs

Every week, we run clubs for over 100 children, teenagers and adults with physical and learning disabilities. Each club is built around the people in it, not the other way round.

Nurturing potential in everyone

Every week, our clubs bring together children, teenagers and adults with a range of physical and learning disabilities. Each one is built around the people in it, not the other way round.

We have a sensory room, a soft play area, a sports hall and an inclusive playground, along with a wheelchair friendly minibus and a seven-seater car for pick-ups from home and school.

For families, that means a regular, reliable place where your family member is known and cared for, and where you're not on your own with it.

Our children's and young people's clubs are supported by the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust.

What carers tell us:

"I was overwhelmed before my child started going to the club. Now I have the confidence to let go. Our family has a chance to look forward."

"Although my daughter can't speak, she got so excited every time she saw the 174 bus at the door. She just loved being out."

Our extra clubs

Tailored Services

For children and young people with more complex needs or behaviour that needs extra support. A higher staff ratio and a specially designed programme mean everyone gets the same club experience, in a way that works for them.

Carer's Project

Support, advice and some time to yourself, for carers of children or adults. Run with our partner Reach Out, meeting every second Monday.

What carers and partners tell us:

"It's hard to explain the challenges of having to fight for every chance and opportunity for my disabled young adult. The team here supports us through this. I'm not sure where we'd be without them."

"The carer's group have helped me understand the reasons behind my child's behaviours and work out ways to respond positively. This has helped me better meet my child's needs and promote their overall wellbeing and development."

"I know and value tremendously the work that Linda and her team provide to families caring for a child or young person with physical and/or learning disabilities in North Belfast. During that time, we have seen how Linda and her team have supported parents to access services and develop their parenting skills."
